Adrian Boot is an architect with 20 years international experience. He is Design Partner of IO.
Whilst as a former International Principal of one of the world’s largest architectural practices, he was responsible for the design of the RIBA award winning Lifestyle Academy and Performance Academy. He was also Design Principal for the new state of the art Engineering School at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
Adrian led the completed Headquarters for the Alliance Trust in Dundee, UK, and a new Civic Headquarters in York, UK. He was an integral part of the Scottish Parliament which won the StirlingPrize in 2005.
He is passionate about a design process that is open, transparent, research based and embraces collaboration. As a counterpoint to his colleagues in Asia, he is based in both the UK and Asia and brings a diversity of specialist skills and knowledge transfer to the Team.
He is currently collaborating with the Shanghai Team, designing a 450,000 sqmIT and business park in Shanghai; a Tax Bureau Headquarters in Eastern China; a mixed use commercial and residential development in Tianjin, China; and BadshahpurIT Park in Gurgaon, India.
