The property is located in Zurich‘s Seefeld district, at the point where the dense urban buildings border more park-like residential structures. It was originally in close proximity to the Villa Seeburg, which was built by Leonard Zeugheer between 1843 and 1847 and was the subject of failed preservation attempts in the 1960‘s by both the City‘s monument protection office and the population. The structure, designed in 1962/63 and completed in 1967 by the architectural firm Haefeli Moser Steiger, stretches over the full width of the plot. For legal reasons, the building is separated into two parts along the Kirchenweg, which are offset to one another by one storey, according to the lay of the land. This results in a relaxed look to the building. Both parts of the structure are connected to each other via the basement and a bridge-like construction in level B. A pavilion-like meeting room facing the Seeburgpark supplements the complex on the south side on Mühlebachstrasse.
