Project Architect / Designer
We are seeking creative, disciplined, and critical thinking Project Architect to join our Shenzhen China office for large-scale urban design and high rise projects in China. You will be part of a fast-paced and rigorous design-oriented studio with a collaborative and supportive team environment. You will contribute to the development of the design and will lead and coordinate the project team through the phases of our professional practice from competition, concept design, schematic design, design development, coordinate with the local design institute during construction documents and construction administration. 
 
Desired Skills and Expertise
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical and analytical thought process needed for problem solving
  • Organizational and team leading skills
  • Well verse in the design and technical aspects of architecture, knowledgeable in building systems and be sensitive to the integration of these variables into a holistic design solution
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • 6-10 years of progressively responsible professional experience.
  • A strong portfolio of thoughtful design solutions of large scale, complex projects including high rise towers and urban designs
  • Extensive experience in competition as well as realization of large scale complex projects from conceptual to construction completion.
  • Strong graphics skills required for presentation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, graphic software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign MS Office including Project, Word, Excel, etc. is required. Knowledge of 3D programs is a plus.
  • Must be fluent in English. Knowledge of Chinese(Mandarin), German or other languages is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Leading and coordinate the project team through the phases of our professional practice from competition, concept design, schematic design, design development, coordinate with the local design institute during the production of construction documents and provide support during the construction process. 
  • Working with the Design Principal in charge, the Project Architect will help initiate conceptual ideas, develop the design and ensures that the team stays on schedule, and executes the documents that conform to the design intent as well as national standard requirements.
  • Review the drawings and documents produce by the team, provide comments for revisions as necessary, coordinate and ensure the revisions are executed correctly.
  • Coordinate and involve in the production of presentation graphics as well as making the presentation as necessary.

  • Proficiency in 3D software such as Rhino, SketchUp and 3Dmax, 2D software such as AutoCAD, graphic software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Experience in all project phases and knowledgeable of building materials and construction techniques according to the industry standards in China.
  • Must be fluent in English. Knowledge of Chinese(Mandarin), German or other languages is a plus.

Architectural Intern
We are seeking architectural interns with creative design and presentation skills to join our Shenzhen China office. You will be part of a fast paced and rigorous design-oriented studio with a collaborative and supportive team environment.
 
Successful candidates will have studied at accredited architecture schools for more than 4 semesters and must be able to work for a period of 6-12 months. Desired qualifications include a high design sensibility with a strong portfolio of personal or prior professional projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is required. Skills in Rhino and 3Dmax is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to thrive in a fast paced and rigorous studio with associated deadline pressures, and must also be capable of working within a collaborative and supportive team environment. Successful candidates must be fluent in English. Knowledge of Chinese and German or other languages is a plus. Chinese are preferred.中国人优先。
