Senior Project Architect/Project Manager

Crossboundaries is looking for a highly creative, smart, pro-active person to join our team in the role of Senior Project Architect/Project Manager. The successful candidate will drive the delivery of projects in keeping with Crossboundaries values and working practice. This position is based in Crossboundaries’ Beijing office.

Crossboundaries is an award winning office that contributes to a vital built and social environment through the broad field of design and the subject of architecture, from urban planning to graphic design, from teaching to consultancy, events curation and research. We create enduring products that often deal with remarkable technical processes and always have an engaging human relationship. 

Recently we have completed the renovation of Chaoyang Future School, in Beijing, a project that continues to develop our experience in design for education.  Our research into living needs of the future continues via the City-Makers and House Vision platforms and our engagement with civil society thrives via Live With Less.

Founded in 2005 and organized as an international partnership, in Beijing and Frankfurt, Crossboundaries has staff originating from and trained in Asia, Europe and The Americas. We provide unique spatial solutions deriving from local cultural knowledge and transnational expertise.


- Professional degree in Architecture/Design or in a relevant field with Chinese, European and/or U.S. license
- Minimum 8 years architecture/design working experience
- Responsible to structure and oversee the day to day work flow of all projects to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and guide teams, both internally and with external stakeholders
- Able to mentor and develop Crossboundaries team members
- Excellent knowledge and experience in both procurement and design processes
- Ability to think across disciplines and leader search
- Experienced on large scale projects
- Confidence in working in a complex and international environment
- Strong conceptual, graphic and design knowledge
- Strong AutoCAD, 3D Max, Rhino, and Adobe Suite skills (experience with Revit is an asset)
