Jürgen Engel, Principal of KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten GmbH, studied Architecture at Technische Universität Braunschweig, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, RWTH University in Aachen, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, USA. He has been Managing Partner of KSP Architekten GmbH since 1990. Jürgen Engel has been Principal and as such responsible for around 200 employees and an average gross annual turnover of EUR 500 million since 2009. His company’s projects have received numerous awards, including: Prize of the Lower Saxony Branch of the German Association of Architects (BDA), the Lower Saxony State Architecture Prize, the International Highrise Award, Mipim Award, Design for Asia Award, red dot design award.

Sebastian Schöll is a Managing Director and Partner at KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten GmbH. He studied Architecture at RWTH Aachen. He has worked for KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten since 2002, from 1997 until 2002 he worked as an architect for Foster and Partners, London. As a team leader in the Frankfurt office Sebastian Schöll is also responsible for various project teams and for what is currently KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten’s biggest construction project: the Great Mosque in Algiers, Algeria.

Dirk Bohnstedt

Dirk Bohnstedt studied architecture at the Technical University of Braunschweig as well as at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Since 2013 he works for KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten and since 2016 he is responsible for the construction management. Furthermore he is Deputy Office Head Frankfurt/Main since 2018.

Thomas Busse

Thomas Busse, competitions team leader and since 2017 managing director of KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten International GmbH, studied architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt and in Florence. From 1999 to 2010 he worked for KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten as design director in Beijing and Frankfurt. Since 2014, Thomas Busse is head fo design in Frankfurt. Under his leadership, his team scored numerous competition successes. He is the managing director responsible for foreign projects in China.

Jürgen Friedemann, Head of Contract Management and an authorized signatory, studied Architecture at Technische Universität Braunschweig. He has worked for KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten since 1993. From 1993 until he was head of the office in Braunschweig. Jürgen Friedemann has been Head of Contract Management since 2009. He was admitted to the Association of German Architects in 1989. As Head of the Braunschweig office, the projects for which he has been responsible included the following:

Philipp Forchheim studied architecture at RWTH Aachen University and has been working for KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten since 2014 as a project manager. Previously he was among others, with Heinrich Böll, architect BDA DWB in Essen and with HPP architects in Düsseldorf. Since 2015 Philipp Forchheim is team leader planning in Frankfurt and responsible for the following projects:

Matthias Koch

Matthias Koch, Head of the Frankfurt/Main office and an authorized signatory, studied Architecture at the University of Kaiserslautern and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. He has worked for KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten since 2005. As project leader he was responsible, among other things, for the new Deutsche Börse building, “The Cube”, in Eschborn near Frankfurt/Main (the first high-rise in Germany to be awarded LEED certification in Platinum). Matthias Koch has been head of Projects since 2010 and since 2018 Head of the Frankfurt/Main office.

Hannes Meisehen

Hannes Meisehen, Head of the Berlin office, studied Architecture at Braunschweig University of Technology. In his career, before joining KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten he spent eight years with Léonwohlhage Architekten, Berlin as a project manager for a number of residential, office and school buildings. Moreover, he possesses substantiated knowledge in building information modelling and interdisciplinary planning (BIM). Since 2017 in his function as Head of the Berlin office he has been responsible for the following projects:

Brigitte Tapp, team leader in the Frankfurt/Main office, studied architecture at Technische Universität Darmstadt. As a project manager she has been responsible for healthcare, university and sports structures in particular. Following professional appointments in Darmstadt with Funk und Schröder and in Hamburg with Prof. Jörg Friedrich und Partner she worked with the architects’ office Wörner Traxler Richter etc. in Frankfurt for 18 years, where she was responsible for the conversion of the hospital in Deggendorf, the new heath center building at the University Teaching Hospital in Tübingen and the large-scale new building project for the University Teaching Hospital in Frankfurt/Main. As a team leader at KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten she is responsible for the following projects:

Christian Eichinger, Deputy Office Head Munich and an authorized signatory, has been working at KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten since 2009. From 2013 to 2017 he was responsible as International Director of Design for the projects in the Beijing, Peking, China office. He studied Architecture at the Technical University of Munich and Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA.
