800 SHOW is a 20,000 sqm creative park, formerly Shanghai People’s Electrical Machine Plant right in the heart of Jing’an District, Shanghai. Divided in three zones for culture, office and leisure purposes, 800 SHOW encompasses 15 buildings built over the span of 50 years, with the architectural design principle of “design the old as the old” and “careful renovation”, the park was finally become an ideal creative space with sustainable business model. The main 120 meter long event hall becomes the brand for 800 SHOW. By demolishing the first column, a public plaza was then open to Changde Road, as a symbol of the cultural architecture in Jing’an District. North is the leisure plaza, which offers visitors an opportunity to pause with galleries and dining venues. The complex at the south are creative office area, proudly boasting high beams, creating exordinary space. 800 SHOW has officially been chosen to be one of the additional venues of the Expo 2010 in Shanghai and held the Shanghai International Creative Industry Week in October 2009.
