The design of Mooburger transformed a dilapidated Chinese take-out spot in Brooklyn's Cobble Hill neighborhood into a hip eatery that pays homage to the gritty history of Brooklyn.

The dining room features two central sharing tables for large parties, an upholstered banquette lining one side wall, and tall timber and raw steel plate booths - allowing a more private meal - along the opposite wall. At the rear of the space, the open kitchen is framed by a marble and concrete bar and prep area.

All of these elements are tied together by patinaed steel fins that hang from the ceiling. The arrangement of the fins reinforces the seating plan, as they part to create a higher ceiling above the sharing tables, and fork above each booth to allow pendant lights to hang over the center of each table.
