The Project is located in Keqiao Zhongfang CBD, Zhejiang Province. The commission is to design a space for promoting textile products and related serving area. Inspired by the traditional techniques of spinning, the concept is to create a fundamental structure which could extend with higher flexibility and manifest the structural aesthetics as how the weave technique presents itself.

The project therefore formulates three sizes of curving wall as basic structures and each wall could supporting each other without extra columns. The structure unit is duplicated within the 11.38m x 11.38 grid system which is similar to the weaving logic. In terms of the natural ventilation and diverse spatiality, the structure units with different height and width create an open interior space which enhanced the natural ventilation and permeability. The duplicating unit system is easier to construct and saves more woods for Board-formed concrete as well.

In terms of the masterplan, the building sets along the river and provides better quality of interior viewpoint. Typical units are deigned as courtyards which bring landscape to the inside. The openable windows are set in the top curving wall to bring hot air up and cool the space. The architecture could therefore have better sustainability.
