Wangjiang Park

The site encompasses an area of approximately 4 hectares along the foreshore of the Qiantang River. Key challenge of the project included the seamless integration of the bridge, an underground parking garage for 330 vehicles, a shopping complex and restaurants/tea houses within a major park that spanned a five metre vertical elevation. The project applies sustainable design initiatives both in the built form elements, landscape design and water sensitive design. The theme reflected the significant cultural “tidal wave” of the Qiantang River, and the wave-like bridge form creatively links the river promenade to the park, and new CBD with wave-like forms and spaces.
