He graduated with a master’s degree from ETH Zürich, Switzerland. Prior to setting up the multi-disciplinary design practice dongqi Architects in 2014, he did an internship in the Dutch architectural office UNStudio. Nan’s interests lie in the intersection of technology and craft, as well as the use of materials and attention to detail.

In his personal capacity, Nan actively contributes to the academic community. His research papers on Informational Craftsmanship have been published for international conferences. He also served as a visiting critic at the Shanghai Study Centre of the faculty of architecture at the University of HongKong.

He has been named to Forbes China 30 Under 30 2018.

Yuan is a creative & content director. she graduated from National University of Singapore and spent 7 years in award-winning creative agencies before leading dongqi’s creative arm in Shanghai in 2017.

Yuan delivers a fresh perspective of creative content to the world. from concept and culture making to developing brand identities, she’s been insightfully delivering creative solutions for global brands who want to reach out to Chinese speaking markets and for local brands who need regional appearance. Her brand experiences include Netflix, Nokia, Singapore Elections, Shanghai Fashion Week, CapitaLand, and Adidas.
