The Wildbad Einöd health spa and treatment center is the oldest spa in Styria. The health spa of the Sisters of the Teutonic Order is embedded in a protected but sunny site in a picturesque valley with meadows and forests.

In order to optimally meet with future requirements in terms of space and equipment, the existing ensemble within the extensive park grounds consisting of historical timber-framed buildings will be supplemented with a modern, clear building volume as replacement for an older building that is not adaptable for handicapped access.

A base element combines the old and new structures. The new volume is positioned alone on the base. Its ground plan fits precisely into the construction zone and allows an optimal orientation of the guest rooms.
The result is a coherent whole that refers to the tradition and centuries-old experience of the health spa and presents a clear affirmation of the openness and contemporary orientation of the order.
