CAA architects is an architectural design firm involved in all aspects of design from urban planning, architecture, interior design, product design, art installation, and more. They are passionate about combining Architecture and Art together and redefine how the two disciplines impact future cities in the era of sustainability and digital technology while also generating social and economical value.
CAA architects was founded by Liu Haowei in 2006 and has set up its headquarters in Beijing with the concept of Design for Tomorrow. It is now staffed by experienced architects and designers from all over the world, who combine Futuristic thinking with Oriental humanistic spirit to realize various types of projects on a global scale.
Some of the major projects completed or on-going include Beijing Collaborative Industrial Park, a national key S&T park in 2020; the key project of national “One Belt And One Road”, Maldives Airport Economic Zone, getting the 1st place in international competition in 2018; Yisabu Doko Memorial Park in South Korea, as well as the Chinese Central Academy of Fine Arts’ Qingdao campus in 2017; Dali Nanzhao Folklore island tourist center in 2016; 2012’s charity work for Yanran Angel Children’s Hospital; and the interior space of the first Shanghai-Beijing high-speed rail renowned as the National Business Card in 2009.
With worldwide attention and recognition, reported by 100+ global professional media outlets,CAA's works have won many international honors and awards, including Dezeen Awards 2022, MUSE Design Awards Platinum Winner 2022, WA Awards 2022 and 2021, BUILD Architecture Award 2021, the Prix Versailles 2020 by UNESCO in France, International Design Award (IDA) 2020 and 2018, World Design Award 2020, Global Future Design Award 2020, GDA German Award 2019, Dezeen Awards 2018, DFA Asia 2017, AD100 Most Influential Architect Award in 2015 and 2013, Interior Design Award for Best Commercial Space and Best Color Solution in 2009, etc.
